Andrew Golis

Andrew Golis is the Deputy Publisher of TalkingPointsMemo.

As Deputy Publisher, Andrew is in charge of audience growth and engagement, business development and technology. He started at TPM in 2006 as an Associate Editor running the site's discussion site TPMCafe and became Deputy Publisher in September of 2007. Naming TPM one of the best blogs of 2009, Time Magazine called it "the prototype of what a successful Web-based news organization is likely to be in the future."

He often speaks at venues like Columbia Journalism School and Netroots Nation about online journalism and business and does consulting focused on the same issues.

He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in American political history and social thought. While in college, he worked for the Dean and Kerry campaigns in New Hampshire and Washington, DC and founded the campus political blog CambridgeCommon.com.

He was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California. He lives in Sunnyside, New York with his wife and their cat and dog.
