As many of you know, the TPM main office is located in Manhattan. And many of you probably saw on the news this morning the breaking news reports of mysterious gas-like smell in lower Manhattan and the surrounding area. At the moment, the apparent smell itself and the story both seem to be dissipating. But, did we smell anything?

My wife smelled something this morning, even before we heard anything on the news. But we live not that far from where Mayor Bloomberg later said there was a "small gas leak." Myself, I never smelled anything. But then my wife has a very acute sense of smell.

TPM world headquarters is up in what's called -- or what remains of the Flower District -- and from what I can tell nobody here ever smelled anything. So that's our report from the ground.
