NYT columnist and Princeton econmist Paul Krugman will be at the Book Club this week discussing his new book, The Conscience of a Liberal.

Krugman gets rolling with a post on the book's two main themes: what happened to the American middle class and why has growing inequality been accompanied by a shift to the right politically.

Josh will be joining in this week's discussion of the book, along with Digby, Tom Schaller, Bruce Bartlett and Mark Schmitt.
