Here's a well-thought-out contrary opinion on the Plame matter on a blog called Complex Now. The author says he doesn't think the Plame perps knew she was covert and provides the best argument supporting that conclusion.

I actually agree with some of what he says, but not all. And I'll try to explain where I agree and disagree in a subsequent post. My own sense of how this happened is that it was done quickly and without thinking through the consequences, either the political ones or those for the country.
