The funny thing about this scandal is that since I guess it was their job to circulate, the dozen or so alleged spies are turning into a sort of espionage 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon. I’ve already been in touch with various acquaintances who had some contact with one of them. Indeed, one of our readers who works near TPM told us a week ago how he and a rather smitten colleague once had drinks with the ubiquitous ‘Anna Chapman’ (the one you’re seeing all the pictures of) who treated them to a mini-diatribe of Russian nationalism and railed against Jews.

The long and short of it: this girl was a real piece of work. Fiercely nationalistic with a little anti-Semitism thrown in for good measure. While adamantly claiming zero interest of ‘politics’ she did share with us that she had no problem at all with Putin having to murder the odd journalist to keep Russian ‘progress’ on pace.After discussing the large Russian population located in Brooklyn, my colleague and I were treated to a mini-diatribe about how these people were certainly not real Russians. Simply ‘Jews’. And of course, there is no such thing as ‘Russian Jews’. Jews that once lived in Russia? Sure. But not Russian.
