When I type “ground” into Google, the first suggested search term is “ground zero mosque.” It comes ahead of “ground beef recipes,” “groundhog” and, perhaps most tellingly, “ground zero” itself.

In response to David Kurtz’ comment regarding Google auto-completion suggesting “ground zero” as the first option when “ground” is typed into the search box - I believe that the results are regionally based because here in Portland the first result is “Ground Kontrol”, a retro pinball machine barcade in downtown Portland, the second result is the good ol’ “ground beef recipes”. The third result is “ground zero mosque” still above “ground zero” however. Just an FYI. The whole world hasn’t gone quite as crazy as New York/DC.
