Paul Kiel is the Deputy Editor of Talking Points Memo and a Reporter/Blogger for TPMmuckraker.com.

Formerly a regular contributor to The L Magazine, he also worked for Harper's Magazine, where he cut his teeth as an intern fact-checking the Index and chasing down items for the Readings section. He's also written for other publications, such as In These Times and The Washington Monthly. He's been a guest on Air America and a number of NPR programs, including To The Point and On The Media.

He received a George Polk Award in 2008 for reporting on the 2007 US Attorney firing scandal that led to the resignation of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
