Thank you
If time allowed, there are many other issues that I would like to discuss with the TPM readers. In the future, I hope to join you again to discuss my legislative efforts to improve education in foreign languages, to protect students from dangerous pesticides at schools, to preserve historic battlefields and landmarks of the American War of Independence, to curb the proliferation of nuclear weapons, and to establish a rational national energy policy.
Please contact your legislators, organize with fellow concerned citizens, and do anything else to get involved and help the country. The government really is of and by the people.
Again, thank you, and I look forward to reading your comments. To read more about what I am doing and to send me more comments, please visit my Congressional or political websites at www.holt.house.gov or www.RushHolt.com.

Thanks for having the guts to show up here and speak your mind. It does, indeed, take guts to commit your thoughts and ideas to a forum that can be googled by anyone at any time. But it's also vital that our elected officials take that risk. Thanks for being a pioneer.

Rep. Holt,Beth Israel Hospital in Newark is one of the best dialysis hospitals in the country, surrounded by sticken poverty. It is so stark. And I know that they take anyone, and do the best work possible on this earth. And it is done in Newark, New Jersey.New Jersey is a beautiful state, surrounded by and inundated with developers and 'greed seekers,' to borrow from this Adminstration. Please stem that tide, and continue to represesent us well in Congress. Change does not always equal progress. Your representation is vital to us all, in New Jersey, and in the country.
Thank you for letting me get to know your views. Could you speak with the family trust, our represnetative in Morris County? He would do well to listen. My grateful thanks.

Please read this. Newark doesn't make sense, geographically. It's a large and major city, in the tri-state area where there's a lot of opulence, but it's a wreck. Newark is almost the epitome of the breakdown of economic theory as it's so close to Manhattan, with cheaper real estate and less taxes, but can't seem to become vital. It's almost odd because the New York business community is so close andyet there's almost not connection to Manhattan, despite it being a quicker commute than to many New York borroughs. It's odd. There's "Twin City" potential here that isn't working and I've never heard a good reason why it isn't. But, I will say this... every trip I've taken from New York to Newark has been depressing once I arrive in Newark. Reall depressing. Newark is a different world and it doesn't make a lot of sense that that's the case.

Truth to tell, I did not know much about you before this week. Now I know to keep a weather eye out for a powerful wind blowing west and south from NJ's 12th.
Thank you Congressman!
