Today, a moment of silence was observed not only in the UK but all across Europe. Chirac even interrupted the Bastille Day celebrations for the occasion. Europe marked 9/11 with similar displays of solidarity.
What did America do today? Nothing.

At least CNN is no longer posting hourly updates on the condition of the two pretty and white American sisters who were slightly injured in the bombings and flew back to the US the next day. You might have thought they had been missing in Aruba or run away from their nuptials.
Relatives in Cardiff have expressed dismay at our press' exploitation of the London tradgedy.
American narcicism can be frightening.
