Where's Immanuel Kant when we need him?

Hey, I wouldn’t beat yourself up over not being as reasonable as Kant.  You’ve attributed him with a hypothetical “so what?” reaction to your distinction between two like events based solely on your personal familiarity.

However, given his belief in the moral ascendancy and the “superior gifts” of the white “race”, I’m afraid Kant’s actual “so what?” might just as likely have been applied to the plight of the Baghdad families themselves.
