MSM Playing Political God - Predicting Obama Without Numbers

This is getting ridiculous. I know the media has a vested interest in the presidential elections. But it's getting blatantly obvious who they're pushing.

CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, and FOX are all declaring Barack Obama the winner in the Georgia primaries. Let me rephrase that... they are predicting that Barack Obama is the winner based on exit polls.

But you wouldn't know that these are only predictions from their websites or reporting.

"OBAMA WINS GEORGIA" is plastered all over the web. Where are the numbers? How many precincts have reported? How many votes have been tallied? Is this official?

There are absolutely no numbers posted on any news websites as of 16:15 PM PST (19:15 PM EST). Maybe he did win. Maybe he didn't. But, no one would know, since there aren't any numbers up!

Knock it off, Media. Didn't you learn your lesson from Ohio in 2004, Florida in 2000? Let the officials do the counting and reporting.

Um, who cares about the exit polls.

That was the point.

Eric, \

Every network is calling every race on exit polls -- not just GA. That is how they are calling all these states as soon as the polls close.

Nothing new hear, except on close states they are being more cautious and making sure the votes are coming in as the exit polls suggest.

Obama has won GA big and that is why they called it as such.

See, that's exactly my problem. Here we have the media, based on paid pollsters, telling America who won what race. That's hardly a democratic way to pick a winner.

The Georgia "result" was announced on the mainstream news sites at 4:00 PM PST, a full four hours before the polls in California closed. There's a possibility some independent or uncommitted voters could have been swayed by that reported outcome.

It doesn't matter to me whether Mr Obama really won Georgia by a significant margin (and congratulations to him for doing so), or whether it was a close race. The MSM does not have access to the ballots, so it should not be doing the jobs of election officials.

It’s not so much about exit polls. Hillary would have to win every single state for this elite liberal media who has an invested interest in advancing the candidacy of an African American to the highest office in the land and America can go to hell in a hand basket. I have never seen such media biasness in my entire life. The media represent an extension of the Obama campaign and the NBC network is its headquarters.

Paul, I'm not going to say whether I agree with your premise or not. I think it's a valid concern, and one that should be addressed.

However, I don't think you're really going to go anywhere with the tone, negativity, and spam-like frequency of your posts.

Put something more substantial behind what you're saying. For example, do a Google search for "Barack Obama" or "Hillary Clinton", then click on the IMAGES link. 98% of all Clinton pictures are negative or unflattering, as opposed to only 2% of Obama pictures being negative or unflattering. A pretty good example, in my opinion, of the Hillary vilification on the internet.

Give us examples like that, instead of uncorroborated rhetoric, and maybe people will listen.
