Desidero solves Unemployment - Today's LOL Quote

Straight out of the Obama Fact Check post. Cut and pasted here, only because they've been cracking me up all day and I want to save them to my own blog. Real gems on how to solve the unemployment problem in the US!

"You can buy a crap used $100 PC and install Linux on it and if you can read you can figure out how to program and work with computers and access all sorts of information for $10 a month hookup fee."

- and they can draw an outlet with a Sharpie on their cardboard box and plug it into that. I have a PhD and have no idea how to install Linux on my machine, but what do I know, I'm not homeless or unemployed!

"There's more access to information in the US than anywhere else in the world. There's more easy money waiting to be invested than anywhere else in the world."

- I would think that someone telling people with no money or job that they should drop $100 they don't have on a computer they don't know how to use, would a least be aware that people in other countries that do have computers have access to just as much info as we do. Oceans don't protect them from the internet anymore, to paraphrase our president.

Still laughing! Beautiful logic to be found here! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Thanks for the flattery.

Here are the detailed instructions.
1) Turn on power
2) Quickly insert bootable Linux CD in your CD drive.

Will this qualify me for an honorary PhD?

Oh, and did I recommend this for "people with no money or a job" or as a general educational tool and access method for people with limited funds and resources? Or did I miss something and there are no black people with money?

I think I was saying that America has more access and opportunity than any nation on earth, though didn't claim that that's a substitute for trying.

But while you have your Sharpie, you might as well write, "Just Give Up". Words you can trust, words you can live by.

I'm sorry, did I take a few of your words out of a much larger context and misconstrue them?

Thank you for issuing your defense of Reverend Wright. That's exactly what everyone has done to him lately!

No problem, I was careful to look around and make sure other Wright references reflected the same irresponsible pattern, just as I'm sure you took care in evaluating mine. (If you didn't, you can always browse back through time at:
Desidero home - a bit musty and disorderly, but good for a larf.)

Hey, why acknowledge that social inequities exist when you can spew a bunch of right-wing, "pick yourself up by your bootstraps" bullshit?

Well, I was hoping Rev. Wright could help instead of jumping around on stage imitating Bill. Aren't the elders good for some kind of good example to our youth?

Are capable of following any kind of cogent logic? What does this mean? Every time I read something you have written, I end up with an image in my mind of an old sedan caught in the mud, tires spinning madly.. going nowhere.

He/she is about as wrong as can be in that statement, in multiple ways. Pointing that out in a comment would be appropriate. But ridiculing them in the title of a post is poor form, IMO.

Dude, last I heard it's my blog. Can I now tell you what you can think or write in yours?

Hey, I'm on your side. If you want to be an asshole on your own blog, go ahead.

Oh, I like the publicity and free promotion. I'm looking towards a Beatles-type record where I'm mentioned in the top 5 recommended posts!!!

Just doing my part to promote a little humor and levity, and to push my fellow readers up a little higher into the coveted "recommended" column!

LMAO

Besides, five more reader blog posts and this gets pushed off the bottom of the list. Like I said in the beginning, I love the quotes and want to save them to my blog. It's not like anyone's going to recommend this into the "recommended" list.

Still laughing....

We're all in this together. You pimp me, I'll pimp you....
