Goal: One Million Donors for TPM!

Well, maybe a hundred or so, but I propose we offer pledged contributions to Josh to hire competent programmers who can fix the total cock-up that is the new Cafe. I return, we will ask for royalties on adclicks, priority blog positioning, and permanent logged-in status.

It is nearly two months since the changeover, and by now TPM deserves not only a refund, but punitive damages from the scam artists that are responsible for the incredible string of mistakes, missing features, and broken links, not to mention archived data that went for drive to another anonymous warehouse, and is waiting for the hard drives to be fired up in service of different servers. Wanna bet the new servers will summarily format their drives, and it will be kind of like the WH emails?

Somebody goofed, and I don't care who. Just fix it.

I'm in.

Count me in. Two times.

Other examples of problems:
Recommend feature is awfully clunky and slow for such a simply thing.

Comments post 16 days after submission. Helpful for discussion.

And, well, an edit/preview feature for comments -- "simple"

Good idea. Done!

I love this site, but it should be noted that there's a freaking plethora of out-of-the-box board, blog and comment systems in php or whatever flavor you might like. If they're paying someone to screw up re-inventing this wheel, they're getting taken for a ride.

Agreed. TPM won't get a cent from me to fix their mistakes. Not from direct contributions, nor from ad clicks. Josh already got a significant uptick in readers since winning the Polk.

I'm tired of the constant "early next week" replies from Andrew. I'm tired of the praise of the software company from Josh.

You want a place that works? Then head over to FORUM: Lucidity.

I actually hope the do-gooderism fundraiser offer embarrasses the shit out of them.
