Hillary is the worse thing to ever happen to the Democratic party

Imagine if John Edwards in 2004 didn't conceded after Super Tuesday to Kerry and carried the race out like Hillary is doing now, and playing up the Republican card saying John Kerry is unfit for command, or he was a flip-flopper on the war on Iraq. That would have made it plain easy for Bush's victory in that election. The Democratic party should not be ripping each other apart, I think the party should have rallied behind the front runner by now instead of letting it carry on like this.

At this point now Hillary can't win by delegates nor popular vote, SHE CAN'T WIN PERIOD. All she can do now is just hurt the Democrat party to try and secure Obama's defeat in November and her run in 2012.

Imagine if John Kerry won 2004, Hillary's political entitlement would have been through!

If you're a real Democrat, and you stand for the success of this party, you must concur that this travesty come to an end. Vote out Hillary in the primary. Vote for Obama in Novemeber and secure that Hillary get no chance in 2012 or ever!

SHE CAN'T WIN PERIOD.

More accurately, she can't win in any scenario that doesn't rip the Democratic party apart. And she knows it.

Furthermore, to my fellow NYers, we must work to insure she doesn't get reelected to the Senate. She must be punished for her crimes against the party. We should organize now to find the right NY Democrat to prepare for filling that seat.

(Note-written by Obama supporter so if you think it needs salt, apply liberally).

This is not intended to be a screed on "why I flipped". First, as to Hillary's continued seat in NY, I think that any talk of getting her out of the Senate at this point is simply absurd. She is an accomplished, tough, ambitious woman who would make a fine President. She has seen the absolute worst that the right wing has to offer, and emerged from it tougher but, unfortunately, not wiser. And no matter how much I might disapprove of her tactics, I would still vote for her in November if she won.

That said, there is no need for someone of her stature to simply make up stories about Yugoslavia, or her contributions to Northern Ireland. She's got enough on her resume to stand on her own.

It's just not enough to win this race. Or more specifically, she can't win on her own merits--but she can still win. For good or for ill, the only way she could win the primary is to make Obama completely unelectable through mud, and this has already started via the Wright hoopla, which engendered one of the best speeches on race that I have ever had the privelege to hear. That--to me anyway--was the tipping point, and demonstrated that to him, winning was not the only thing.

These attacks have continued through her surrogates attempting to paint Obama as too "liberal" to win--in perfect concordance with the McCain campaign. (See Wapo, page A1). As the policy differences between the two are minor (particularly when contrasted against another term of George W. McCain), this jab seems particularly disingenuous. She's going to be tarred as a "liberal" by McCain's campaign, and will ultimately have ended up hurting herself if she wins. The smell of desperation from the Clinton camp leads me to believe that winning may be the only thing that she cares about with any conviction. I do not want to believe that, but we shall see.

As an O supporter, I'd of course rather she drop out now, but certainly don't blame her for staying in--at least now. She isn't running for dog catcher, and there are still votes to be counted. That's what primaries are for, and it ain't two-hand touch. With nothing to do until the PA contest, there's a lot of empty air that needs to be filled, and all it's being filled with are increasingly disturbing attacks by her surrogates. After the next round of primaries in April (where the writing will be on the wall in neon) she will have to drop out, and should.
