Just one clip! Hillary's "I Have a Dream" Moment.
I want to see it. I want to see a video clip of Hillary Clinton speaking publicly that you find to be inspiring, uplifting, and that gives you a sense of hope for the future.
Hillary claims that she and John McCain have years of experience, but that Obama only has one speech. So far, and this is why I am asking for a link to it, Hillary doesn't have that one speech, that defining moment, that paradigm shift of a speech that makes people prick up their ears and feel that they have found someone in whose promise they can really believe in.
Full disclosure: I used to be a Hillary supporter. Last year I thought that she would present herself early in the campaign as the person possessing the vision and leadership qualities that would inspire, uplift and give that sense of hope for the future that a lot of us are looking for. I watched, and waited, and hoped, and waited, and listened and read, and waited.....
If Obama doesn't get the nomination, I would like to support the Democratic candidate. I would like to see just one video clip of Hillary giving a speech that is inspiring, uplifting, and that gives a sense of hope for the future. Post your link, I'm looking forward to watching it.

Obviously you're sitting in front of a computer, why don't you look for one?

Why?
If Ms Clinton did make that type of speech, it wouldn't make a lick of difference. Mr Obama's supporters and surrogates would simply denounce it as pandering, a "last ditch effort", playing the race card, whatever.
Face it, nothing Ms Clinton does - or can do - will persuade Mr Obama supporters into voting for her.

I can be wrong but I don't know if Hillary Clinton ever gave the kind of speech you are looking for. I don't think it's in her character and she has been consistently worse talking about herself in comparison with Sen. Obama.
If you can't make up your mind without an uplifting speech, then it is what it is. Maybe you are looking for role models in the wrong places?

Astral66,
I feel your pain. You haven't stated your pain here, but you've mentioned it elsewhere and I want to see if I can capture it:
You want to see if any of Senator Clinton's "die hard" supporters can point to a "Eureka" moment, an encapsulation of why someone who is new to the process or new to this election or open minded or undecided, would see her and be inspired. You understand that policy and substance are important. You also understand that having the basic charisma and human capital to communicate your passion AND your depth of knowledge are critical to motivating and mobilizing people toward reaching beyond what we have become to what we can aspire to. And you want to know if Senator Clinton also understands that and has the ability to be that sort of a transformational politician. You want to see where the folks who have so enthusiastically supported her in these forums and elsewhere have found evidence that she's not just "tough" or "experienced" or across the "Commander-In-Chief" threshold, but a human being who can connect with other human beings on a level other than calculation.
And what do you get from her supporters?
BevD chimes in with a substantive response of "find it yourself..."
ECS says "it wouldn't matter if I COULD find one, you wouldn't care..."
Lalo says "you're shallow for even looking for such a thing..."
Is it any wonder that a central talking point among this crowd is to deride as naive anyone who actually IS inspired by a candidate who can convey what you're looking for? Is it any wonder that the level of grassroots enthusiasm reflected among the donors to and volunteers for the campaign of the candidate who understands the value of that type of a human connection is outstripping that of the candidate who seemingly cannot supply it? I feel your pain because last week I wrote to explain the perspective of so many Obama supporters who feel that many of Senator Clinton's most vocal supporters in these forums have totally lost sight of the fact that we once shared their support for Senator Clinton. And a fair number of fellow Obama supporters joined me in expressing similar points of view. I asked the Clinton supporters to respond and address the conflict between their vitriol and some of the issues which led us to have a change of heart. I didn't hear from too many of them though. I guess their servers were down.

First off, you make the assumption that I'm a Clinton supporter. I am not.
Second, you've taken my comment out of context, and attempted to use them as proof of your own talking point that "a central talking point among this crowd is to deride as naive anyone who actually IS inspired by a candidate who can convey what you're looking for." I make no such claim, not even close to it. Rather, I take the cynical view that Obama supporters are so wrapped up in their own candidate, that Ms Clinton could make the most inspiring, the most logical, the most eloquent speech in the history of humankind... and Obama supporters wouldn't care.
I've talked to hundreds of Obama supporters. There are two general reasons why they like Obama. 1, The Speech. 2, they hate Clinton worse than the Republicans do.
No speech is going to change #2.

I doubt your claims.
To be fair, there are Obama supporters who dislike Senator Clinton for reasons I cannot begin to fathom. But among our contingent in our county convention (numbering 179), they were outnumbered by Obama supporters who have long held high opinions of Sen. Clinton. Some still do, some are trying to, some have recently lost respect for her and her campaign. A couple were Clinton supporters at the Jan. 3 caucus, but have publicly switched, mainly due to campaign tactics.
If Senator Clinton holds out any hope to still garner the Democratic nomination, and win in the fall, that hope diminishes every day that Mark Penn remains on her payroll. This man has no loyalty to the Democratic party, he strategizes solely for the campaign. His plan is to beat the nomination frontrunner using the same tactics he would use in November against the Republican nominee. His strategies are firmly based on evidence that shows such tactics work. Certainly those statistics will help to determine the best path to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Except, Penn's entire hegemony is based on what is becoming an outdated worldview. People have been awakened to the destructive nature of Personal Destruction Politics. They understand the detrimental effects of fearmongering and divisiveness. People are ready for something different, something that brings people together to work for a goal that inspires them for what it says about how they can agree, and generates a future not possible from division and partisanship.
Mark Penn's worldview is outdated and antiquated. While the crowds are screaming in unison, "The Emperor has no clothes!" he still stands rapt, admiring the gossamer finery so delicate that it feels like nothing to the touch.

I hope I was as negative as you make me out to be and as you were yourself on the other posts.
Maybe this surpised you but I indeed never had a Eureka! moment over Clinton. My view of Clinton went through ups and downs over a long period of time and it wasn't an instant fireworks and "coolness factor" that both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama generated (obviously Clinton in 1992). I'm not looking for a transformational policitian. With Dems in Congress, I think this is way lower on the top priority list for this country.
It doesn't make my reasons for supporting my candidate any less valid, even if they are expressed differently than yours.

It's like drilling through concrete with a butter knife to get you to understand that I support the DEM candidate who is nominated in August. And as usual, you make it up as you go along - who claimed anyone is naive for being inspired by a candidate? No one claimed that - but you. Another strawman manufactured and knocked down by you.
EITHER candidate would be a good president. BOTH candidates bring something to the table and would be good presidents. They are BOTH democrats. The prize is a DEMOCRAT in the White House, not a nomination in August.

I do appreciate everyone's posts. thanks for responding! I'm sorry too, that I couldn't succeed in getting a single link to Hillary making a speech or statement that the Hillary supporters take pride in. I'm not saying that it isn't out there, just that I've failed in eliciting a response. Maybe I'll try again later, as I'm new to this (this is my first attempt at this), and maybe we'll end up with some good clips to look at.
