Message to Obama: Time to Challenge Hillary over Joint Ticket Suggestions

What I wouldn't give to have the Obama camp issue the following statement:
"Over the past week, Hillary Clinton and her supporters have repeatedly questioned Barack Obama's qualifications to be commander in chief, while at the same time suggesting that she would pick Barack Obama to be her running mate were she to be her party's nominee.
Barack Obama pledges that if he wins his party's nomination, his vice presidential selection will be someone that he believes is ready from day one to be commander in chief.  The American people deserve no less a commitment from Hillary Clinton.  We therefore demand that Hillary Clinton either repudiate her past statements questioning Barack Obama's fitness to be commander in chief or rule out a Clinton/Obama ticket."

This is great and it would work. Problem is, I think the Obama campaign needs to tell their surrogates to do this.

I wrote about this before and appreciate someone else saying it too.

The first decision of a NOMINEE is to pick HIS or HER Vice President nominee.

For the past month Hillary has done nothing but accuse Barack Obama of not being worthy, or not being Ready On Day One, or not being experienced enough or he's just a speech maker.

If Hillary were to some how win this thing, which I don't believe she will, and she were to pick Obama as her VP -- how on EARTH would she explain to the Republicans during the General, how she NOW thinks he's READY?

The VP must be ready on DAY ONE if something should happen to the President.

A good example would be 9/11. Cheney was in the White House. Bush at a school. What if Bush had been killed that day. Just 9 months into becoming President. Would Cheney be ready?

Same question to Hillary - would Obama be ready?

Either say you are WRONG about Obama Hillary or shut up about having him as your VP, because you'll just lose this election for us because you LIED all along.

He's READY ON DAY ONE.

Even your husband said so in Philly today with the Wards -- it was repeated by lead ward on Hardball.

Interestingly, the concern cuts both ways. O has said HRC lacks the judgment to do the right things on day one. In theory, that eliminates her from Veep consideration. Just saying... ;~)
