What's Really Happening in Iraq? A Response

Not much editorializing here, I just wanted to share these videos by Ghaith Abdul-Ahad in case anyone hasn't seen them.  The third one in particular is just a gut-punch.  Ghaith Abdul-Ahad is an unembedded Iraqi journalist who is regularly published in the UK's The Guardian and, I believe, the Washington Post (as well as bit pieces in other major US outlets).

More of a music person, to be honest. My favorite book is usually whatever I'm currently reading.

Genre-wise, I like modern absurdist fiction - let's say Vietnam-era and up: Vonnegut, Robbins, Pynchon, Murakami, etc.

Guilty pleasures include GRR Martin's fantasy series and a young adult fic book here and there (which I can justify as necessary for work).

    Last three books read:
Death of Ivan Ilyich & other short stories - Tolstoy
Picture of Dorian Gray - Wilde
    John Adams - McCullough

Next three books on reading list:
    Pale Fire - Nabokov
    Infinite Jest - Wallace
A Theory of Justice - Rawls
