Clintonites scared of far right
The right wing of the Dems represented by the Clintons has always based its politics on the fear that Bayh reveals here. They're simply scared of the far right and of saying anything that might offend it. Now they might be right, but this election is a chnace to test that strategy.

. Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, a Clinton supporter, said the controversy [over whether people in depressed areas are angry] could hurt Obama's effort to win over superdelegates. "It's a real potential political problem and it's something for superdelegates and voters to think about," Bayh said. "We have to win the election in November and the far right wing has a real good track record of using things like this against our candidates," he said.

the right wing attacked John Kerry over his war record...
Isnt that enough to say that this argument over what the right is going to do is retarded.

Her whole campaign "strategy" at this point is retarded:
* fire people that don't fall in line with the "lie of the week" public image, but not really fire them
* pretend to be one of the people, by claiming that your grandfather worked in a factory, after we just found out you made $109m in the last 7 years
* pretend to be anti-trade after signing on to ludicrous numbers of free trade agreements that didn't have any labor provisions
* attack the leading democrat for being too aligned with democratic values
etc. etc.

Clinton and her supporters seem to genuinely believe that crap about "having been vetted". There's a reason they attack Obama. There's a reason Charlie Crist endorsed Hillary's revote plan for Florida. There's a reason the Anti-Bill-Clinton Outrage Machine has gone dormant through Ron Burkle and Peter Giustra and Colombia. There's a reason Karl Rove is playing footsie with her.
