Never send a major news network to do a 527's job.
If future presidential debates take ABC's lead, and ABC takes its lead from Fox, and Fox takes its lead from 527s, who benefits? Corporate media and special interests and lobbyists.
Plenty of hit men are in the business of swift boating. It's their job. So it's not like anyone is being deprived of good solid character assassinations.
There will always be voters who take that stuff at face value.
But do we have to cater to them?
