I know that this has been blogged before but I'm venting.  I have two issues with Hillary Clinton the stuff about first it's the delegate count, then it's the popular vote, then it's the super delegates voting for the nominee that can win in November or voting the way the popular vote carried in your district, that's all spin.  She makes Niccolò Machiavelli look like a Catholic Saint.  You know that saying don't cut off your nose to spite your face?  Well that's just what I might be doing and  funny how at Wikipedia it says under that statement see also:  Pyrrhic victory.

That is exactly what I believe is going to happen to Hillary Clinton and I'm not going to say I'm sorry.  If you can't be trusted to keep a simple pledge how can you be trusted to be the President.  Her excuses over this primary voting issue sounds  like "If  I knew the Iraq intelligence about WMD was wrong I wouldn't have voted that way" or "if I knew we would disenfranchise millions of voters I wouldn't have signed that pledge" or "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky".   The DNC screwed up big time by letting this whole Michigan-Florida fiasco happen and they'll lose the November election by letting Hillary Clinton run this end game around them and her fellow Democratic voters.

Hillary and her team use Fox News as a platform, she has a sit- down with Richard Mellon Scaife, guru of the "vast right-wing conspiracy" and now according to JackieinCA's - April 24, 2008 post,  is advertising on Rush Limbaugh's radio program, while he's calling for riots in Denver and he plays "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" in the background.  Exit polls show fewer  Obama voters would stay home or vote McCain on election day  then would Clinton voters and she just shrugs the issue off by saying "We'll all come together no matter who the nominee is,  to beat John McCain.  Lots a luck sister.

If Bill Clinton wasn't  in the picture I'd be voting for Hillary .  I'm no prude but what he did during his Presidency disappointed  a lot of Democrats including me and now between the two of them there is a double trust issue.  Like I said enough is enough.  Frankly I'd like to see Al Gore step up and release some type of statement,  endorse Clinton or Obama or offer to be one of the candidates running mate.

The Republican Party is about as low as it can go and the Democrats with what they have done ham handedly and what they have failed to do about Iraq,  FISA,  Mukasey, torture, etc. are still one step below them.

9/1/2007 Clinton Campaign Statement on the Four State Pledge

The following is a statement by Clinton Campaign Manager Patti Solis Doyle.

"We believe Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina play a unique and special role in the nominating process.

And we believe the DNC’s rules and its calendar provide the necessary structure to respect and honor that role.

Thus, we will be signing the pledge to adhere to the DNC approved nominating calendar."

3/12/2008 Hillary Clinton Statement on Seating Delegates from Florida and Michigan

Hillary Clinton made the following statement at the Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce earlier this morning:

"If you are a voter from Florida or Michigan, you know that we should count your vote. The nearly two and a half million Americans in those two states who participated in the primary elections are in danger of being excluded from our democratic process and I think that’s wrong. The results of those primaries were fair and they should be honored. Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of discussion about what we should do to ensure that the voters in Florida and Michigan are counted.

"In my view there are two options: Honor the results or hold new primary elections. I don’t see any other solutions that are fair and honor the commitment that two and a half million voters made in the Democratic primaries in those two states. Whether voters are clamoring for solutions to the challenges that we face or not, or whether people are coming out in droves to be heard, we have a basic obligation to make sure that every vote in America counts.

"I hope that Senator Obama’s campaign will join me in working to make that happen. I think that that is a non-partisan solution to make sure that we do count these votes."
