Off Topic But...
Why is there currently a big sidebar add to sign up for the Ann Coulter News letter?
I find it kind of scary!
Who is here that would POSSIBLY want to sign up?!

Ann regularly trashes Hillary, and Ann helped make Paula Jones a success. It probably seemed like a natural and obvious idea.

Not to mention, Ann Coulter endorsed Hillary.

A Hillary supporter (you're still a Hillary supporter, right?) is posting about Ann Coulter's endorsement of Hillary because Hillary is "more conservative than McCain," because Hillary supported the war and the surge, because in the SoTU address Hillary leapt up and applauded when Bush said the surge was working while McCain sat on his hands, and because Hillary says hawkish things that Coulter finds appealing.
And a Hillary supporter is pointing this out? I'm so confused.

You're not confused, rabbitsmorgasbord, Ann Coulter is.
Yes, I support Hillary. No, I don't support Ann Coulter.
I mentioned her support of Hillary, however, because I thought it was a perfectly paradoxical comment to follow Desidero's. Coulter is someone who trashes Hillary constantly, yet claims she'll campaign for her. That's typical Coulter crazytalk, and just adds to the sad irony of seeing her ads on this site.
Do I take anything Ann Coulter says seriously, including her assessment of conservatives and liberals, of Clinton or McCain? No. I consider Ann Coulter to be a charlatan. I don't regard anything she says as truthful or insightful.

TPM simply accepts feeds from various adservers. They attach to keywords sometimes, so there are creepy correlations with some posts.
Note ads for Scientology, a Senate opponent to Dick Durbin (D-IL), and an anti-union ad. Note also the reduced text areas, and that you can't easily find a page view without an ad, and it just means income for TPM. Cool, but maybe some quid could go with the quo?
I comment on this in http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/04/who-loves-you.php

Yeah, I laugh sometimes at the ad placements but TPM doesn't really control that at all and often neither do the companies themselves directly. Most have agencies that they work with who manage the ad placements for them.
