TPM numbers? .......the fix is in
As I write this, a Maria Gomez piece with 30 recommends disappered while recomended posts of 15 appeared.

I don't claim to know the algorithm, but it's not just about the recommends. Age is definitely a factor, for instance.

There appears to be a 24 hour time limit on the reccomended list. After 24 hours from the original post date, your post will disappear from the list.

I didn't realize it was such a hard line, but that does explain why one of my posts went from the top spot to off the list in a blink of an eye.

Perhaps you were looking at the Muckraker's recommended list? She didn't check off that box, so it doesn't show in that list. As Hilarym99 points out, it is on the recommended list in both the Cafe and Election Central.

Not sure what that means. I've been an activist for my whole life, and think that being through enough poltical low blows, I've seen exactly how the future can be set.
You'd have to remember the fate of the Mississippi Freedom Party at the hands of Hubbert Humphrey to get close to what is being done to Obama, speaking of how the future can be closed rather quickly on real change.
Additionally, as someone who planned to vote for Clinton is she ran, I'm wavering.

It's a wonderful piece. No reason it shouldn't go right to the top of the charts and become and echo chamber classic. Chapter One of The Hunting of the President is called: The Ghost Of Lee Atwater. Who would have thought Lee would be reincarnated as Frida Khalo? In a world where only 23% of one of the most important segments of Obama's base can't find Iraq on a map even if it's labeled and more people believe in angels than in evolution, nothing surprises me anymore.

Personally, I think it's garbage.
But in a world where 54% one of the most important segments of Clinton's base voted to put Bush back in the White House for a second term, I'm not surprised either.

We're in the process of writing up a definition to put up a link so that this is completely transparent. But so you know:
Only posts put up in the last 24 hours are listed in recent or recommended. The recent is just the 10 most recent tagged with that blog, and recommend is the 10 most recommended tagged with that blog.
