Bush forgets he's a coke-head
In 1999, at a hotel suite "somewhere in the Midwest," McClellan recalls the Bush mind when dealing with rumors that the then-Texas governor had used cocaine.
Writes McClellan: "'The media won't let go of these ridiculous cocaine rumors,' I heard Bush say. 'You know, the truth is I honestly don't remember whether I tried it or not. We had some pretty wild parties back in the day, and I just don't remember.'
"I remember thinking to myself, How can that be? How can someone simply not remember whether or not they used an illegal substance like cocaine? It didn't make a lot of sense."

Blackouts, of course.

Come on, give Bush a break. To paraphrase Al Franken's remarks about the old days at SNL, "Bush only did coke to stay up long enough to make sure no one else he was partying with did too much coke."

I thought it was chronic that addled the memory?
Seriously, though, does ANYONE really believe you could "forget" if you ever did coke?
Maybe, "I thought it was 'only' crank!" would be the likelier scenario.
And much more believable.
But equally, if not moreso, incrimninating.

Cocaine's a Hell of a drug.

Though I love McClellan's prissy innocence here. How could somebody not remember if they took an illegal drug or not? As if it was some sort of momentous thing that somebody would remember forever.

Well, if one were a coke burnout, as is Bushit, it is not so much possible as it is likely that he wouldn't remember.
So: is he lying, or not competent to tell the truth?
