CINDY MCCAIN IS FAIR GAME

The Tennesse Republican Party made Michelle Obama an issue in this campaign. Time magazine said that Michelle Obama is fair game, so I say Cindy McCain is fair game. The Republican party is very comfortable in demonizing people with the assurance that the Democrats with our ethics, compassion and sense of  fair play will not retaliate in kind. It is time for Democrats to stop being affraid and start meeting the Republicans on the battle field armed with bigger weapons. They bring a knife, we bring a macheti, they bring a pistol revolver we bring a glock nine. It's time that we fight fire with an inferno and take no prisoners.

So the Republicans want to make a comment that Michelle Obama made that came out not so "correct" then attach her in a manner that is unheard of in Politics. When was the last time the spouse of a candidate was attached my the official political opposition party? When did a political party start attaching the family of the candidates? This is outrageous and they have opened up a can of worms that cannot be closed so easily.

Cindy McCain, is fair game. Her drug use..her federal investigation for drug theft..the fact that she did not go to prison because she was privileged and the wife of John McCain. She received a pass because she was rich, came from a rich family and her husband a politician. How many other women who went through the same thing and are now languishing in our prisons. Mothers jailed for years because of the possession of a small amount of drugs, mothers who have not seen their children for years for a similar crime, but because they were not rich or connected will rott in jail for 5 years. Cindy McCain is not the role model I want for my children or this country where justice is supposed to be blind and balanced. Cindy McCain is living breathing example that the America she stands for is the America in which the rich have different laws and if you are rich and connected you can get away with anything. Cindy McCain is Fair Game.

Anyone good with making Ads, should make one of the real Cindy McCain.

Let me start by stating that I support Obama.
This let's attack everyone for everything mindset is IMHO out of control & does NOTHING to elevate the conversation on the ISSUES (of which there are many) & serves to place everyone on the defensive.
Has Cindy McCain made some big mistakes in her life??? Yes. Has Cindy McCain done some incredible good in her life??? Yes (probably way more than most Americans). Has Michelle Obama made some mistakes in her life??? Yes. Has Michelle Obam done some incredible good in her life??? Yes (again probably way more than most Americans).
Attacking people simply for their associations & relationships is weak. Can we stop now???

I believe Michelle is fair game because she is out stumping for Obama in a major way. I also believe Cindy is fair game. What I didn't understand is the belief that Chelsea was still out-of-bounds as a 27yo hedge fund manager and very busy campaigner for her Mother.

I think she is 28 years old actually and I agree with you that it is odd. I think it has to do with the fact that she was first daughter and she was off bounds then as a child. That fealing that she is a child is still there within the media and the general public, even though she is a grown woman now.

Not to be mean, but are you sure Cindy McCain is a "living breathing example" of anything? She's kind of an automaton.

But seriously folks, there's no reason not to give her hell for not releasing those Tax Returns. They probably allude to millions being funneled into off shore accounts where she got away with hiding probably $100-million in tax dollars over the decades.

The drug use, I would let slide, otherwise, Dems will look like John Edwards debating Dick Cheney when he brought up Mary Cheney. Just didn't go so smoothly. Kinda crass when you consider all the laws that have been broken by Bush's folks that we can legitimately hammer McCain on.

Again as an Obama supporter, let's interject a little perspective.
Cindy McCain inherited her Fathers Beer distributorship & under her leadership sales have doubled. She is highly active & instrumental in operation smile, & works with a world wide operation to clear war zones of land mines. If she funnels money to offshore shelters (that's an if I haven't seen evidence of) you can bet it's legal. She became addicted to pain killers after 3 back surgeries. I happen to know these things from keeping an open mind & reading the good things about the opposition, as well as the bad. Michelle Obama's comments were taken out of context & framed in a dishonest way. We don't like it. Repeating it doesn't make it better... Peace.

Good for you! And when the GOP reprints Michelle's racist writings from her college days, you'll still say that spouses are fair game.

Otto: "And when the GOP reprints ..."

They already have. Or did you mean, when they do it again?

Except Obama is trying not to wage a campaign based on the same old politics. IMO attacking McCain's wife is not so cool. Let them attack Michelle and they look like cads. Engage with them by doing the same and people just think "what's the difference".

The only presons who are 'fair game" are the candidates themselves.

The TN Republican Party went after Obama's wife -- THE A REPUBLICAN IN TN TOLD HIS OWN STATE PARTY TO LEAVE HER ALONE AND TALK ABOUT ISSUES.

I am fed up with holier-than-thou jerks such as you who, having the "high moral ground," insist that it is put to best use by acting exactly as do those you hate for acting as they do.

The term for your attitude: HYPOCRITE.

That being the fact, you should shut up about others being hypocrites if you're going to be exactly the same as they are, the only excuse reaming is that "two wrongs DO make a right".

Let me guess: you're actually a Republican't-be-honest-or-ethical?

When Cindy McCain runs for office, she'll be fair game. She isn't now.

Haven't we had enough of the politics of personal destruction in the Democratic primaries?

John McCain can easily be beaten on the issues. Let's stick to those.

Certainly, there's no call for an unprovoked attack on Cindy McCain.

But, any unfair attacks on Michelle would certainly be sufficient provocation.

The ongoing primary somewhat complicates things at the moment.

I look forward to Hillary playing a huge role by directing her formidable firepower at only Republicans - and at Cindy McCain if need be.

Want to see a photo of Cindy McCain high on drugs? Follow the link.

Karl Rove recently claimed in the WSJ that John McCain was a private person but McCain has no problem exploiting his wife and daughter for his campaign.

As I documented here, Cindy McCain was addicted to drugs when she brought two very sick babies home from Bangladesh. Thankfully, things worked out but that was because Cindy McCain is rich and can pay people to clean up her messes.

In mid-April, Cindy McCain announced that she was going to publish her memoirs in September. She recently said that she was too busy to write the book. I think cooler heads prevailed at campaign headquarters.

BTW, Cindy's s-called charity took her away from home for more than two out of seven years when her children were toddler-aged. Cindy was no stay-at-home mom, that's for sure.

Let me try those links again.

To the photo.

To my post about Cindy McCain.

I'd rather like to let Cindy's drug addiction problem be. Plus I feel sorry for her- being married to a guy who calls her mean names. Maybe she really needs something to numb the pain of choosing that guy for a mate.

Cindy's finances are fair game. She and her family bankrolled McCain's runs for office. And I think Arizona is a community property state- so unless there is a pre-nupt, then half of what is hers is his.
