Clinton's Real Electability Powerpoint
This is rather alarming. Apparently, the "electability" powerpoint that Clinton sent out to House Dems was a decoy. Select uncommitted superdelegates obtained a very different pointpoint. I've managed to obtain a leaked copy and posted it here. Please check it out, and forward it to your friends

My half Romanian-half Hungarian husband thought it was funny.
I also have 5 Filipinos, 4 Mexicans, 1 Peruvian, 1 Columbian, 3 Japanese-Americans, 3 half black-half white people, and 13 white people who all thought it was hilarious.
As I typed this a Clinton supporting Brazilian emailed to said is funny stuff.

Avoiding the work I should be doing, I played around a bit further with this using powerpoint. Normally I do my very best to avoid using microsoft products (or writing files in their formats), because while at first glance their software seems to offer great promise, it never lives up to it, and I only end up cursing their lazy programmers and their monopolistic, however philanthropic, boss; thus I have extremely limited experience with powerpoint (other than seeing colleagues nearly break down in tears at conferences when all their Greek symbols show up in Cyrillic font, or their animations won't play).
After spending too much time with your ppt file today, I can see the brilliance of your composition, which is all but lost on the quicktime animation I made from the google doc version. All attempts at getting powerpoint itself to make a movie (I have a few versions available on mac and windoze platforms, including a 2008 mac version) fail in the same way, namely overlapping your excellent graphs with the tables. The same failures appear in my attempts at exporting your ppt file as html. Damn Bill Gates and his crappy software! In an optimistic moment I even bought a copy of Sweet Home Alabama from amazon, but I was apparently unable to outfox its copy protection, which I assume is what was causing the shareware (GraphicConverter, which usually rocks) I used to convert your google-doc version to quicktime to crash when I tried to add a soundtrack. So much for the pleasure of avoiding work! Harumph.

But slides came on top of slides... thus keeping the presentation more PC, from what I can tell. However if it's up on you-tube.... then maybe I can get stomach aches along with the rest of you.

I like the idea of using "Sweet Home" -- mainly because I'm always irritated by that damn song.

For what it's worth:
Putting it up on YouTube with the actual Hillary logo and all may invite legal action as you have used a trademarked reference (bad enough) to represent ideas not associated with the people who own the trademark.
I'm guessin Google will be asked to take it down.
Two (unsolicited) thoughts:
a) Convert the real one and put it on YouTube (since without the real one, the parody has no context)
b) Change the logo on the parody (e.g. "The Hillster for Prezzie") and then repost.

There is no "fair use" with a trademark. It's intellectual property and people (correctly) guard its power. As a simple example, go look at AUSTIN POWERS. There is a reason why "NSA" is on their patches and not NASA. They didn't get permission.

I wonder what it says about my sense of humor, but by far my favorite slide was the one with the chart about how Hillary is 100% white and Obama 50%.
Overall, I was considering left's post (because I am open minded and thoughtful like that) and ultimately came to the conclusion that with the way Hillary and her campaign have been talking, your snark is perfectly justified. Although, yes, the race card is exhausting, so I wish Hillary and her "electability" spinners would put it away already. If only women voted that would also increase her electability. If only people with the last name of Clinton voted, that would also increase her electability. Every vote counts. Even elitists who went to college and when we were there learned the black people are capable of being president. (Not that there is anything wrong with not going to college....)

The fact that this person has their head so far up their arse that they didn't hear her USA Today 'hard-working, white voters' intvw as the dog-whistle it was - and put that together w/ her pathetic ppt - but somehow sees your joke as 'playing the race card' illustrates exactly the sort of her voters that we can write off and frankly I won't miss.
And clearly, this is from someone so new to the site that they don't know the high level of regard for you by both Dems' supporters as one of the most even-handed and quality posters here. Clearly, the etiquette and prudence of familiarizing one's self w/ a site and its regulars before launching broadsides at the very least to make sure their attacks are grounded in reality was a lesson lost on this person. I'm sure if they have since bothered to read your other contributions they now feel like an arsehole. Or actually no - from the nature and tone of the comment that'd be lost on them too.

For the sake of Obama I hope this is real - but I have to say she has long since passed my personal threshold for forgiveness or redemption. Kitchen sinks are notoriously irretrievable and certain bells are unringable. And sadly, she has already given McCain all the cover he needs to engage in this filth on a more sly level. What's saddest is that she pulled the high-ground argument from under Dems - Repubs can now always say that one of us sunk to the same levels as their Atwaters and Roves.
