DoD Emails Help Establish Link Between NSA Telecoms, NSA Affiliated contractors, and Military Analysts

The DoD emails can be overwhelming, especially when taken in light of McClellan's revelations. It appears the propaganda effort was well entrenched, raising questions whether each Department under the President may have  a military analyst-like program to disseminate domestic propaganda..DoJ's analogous position is called, "A lawyer, who is regulated by the States." This is where your State AGs and State Disciplinary boards come in.
.The DoD emails help answer an important question:.
What is the relationship between the (a) US government; (b) NSA data mining; and (c) how the NSA used that data mining to support propaganda and media messages.
.There's one hold-out in confirming the link between the NSA, the telecoms, the military analysts, and the telecom domestic surveillance. One commentator has suggested until we establish a provable link between the NSA, the NSA affiliated contractors, the IP numbers for those contractors, and the domestic spying, it's a waste of time to suggest the President used the NSA to engage in data mining, and this illegally captured information was used to generate media message for the illegal war in Iraq..* Finding the Missing Link.Cryptome argues there's no provable link between the IP numbers and the NSA operations:.
"Until any of your anonymous contributors can come up with a provable association between an IP range or port range with NSA operations, the entire proposition is obviously a beat-up by, dare I say it, the tin-foil hat brigade."
.The DoD emails appear to largely satisfy Cryptome's burden of proof. Although DoD redacted email account information from many Emails,, it's possible to determine some of these email accounts, identify their IP numbers, and establish a link between the corporate information and the NSA domestic surveillance..There is a clear link between the DoD emails, the email account numbers, the intelligence community, and the military analyst information. One of the most interesting exercises was using multiple databases to derive one of the email accounts apparently linked with the intelligence community. This comment will not go through the details of how this information was derived.
.One of the emails discloses a firm's name, which connects indirectly with an NSA-affiliated IP block. As Cryptome suggests this "NSA listing" does not prove the firm is connected with the NSA or engaged in illegal activity. However, we can use the DoD emails to look at the intelligence-related activities of the firms connected with the military analysts..Once we look at the military analyst information in the emails, and compare that with the cryptographic information, we'll discover some interesting results. Normally, if there's no link or relationship between two data sets, it's impossible to find a bridge between the data. In the case of the military analysts and the NSA, we have the opposite: It's impossible not to see the connection between the NSA, digital data forensics, and the intelligence community assets linked with the military analysts..This shows a sample public key, and a key word linked with the intelligence community. The key words highlighted will direct you to many other briefings, documents, and connections with the NSA and the intelligence and data security industry..* Contractor-Link Between Military Analysts and NSA.Here is a military analyst who has connections with Naval Intelligence; another military analyst who was with the NSA for more than a decade;  and another analyst who connected with an educational program, which is connected with security..There's also another way to connect the NSA, the contractors, and the military analysts with the NSA activities. One way is to note the specific email formats. One format matches a high profile NSA contractor. This information shows how a specific email format within the DoD emails matches an email format of a contractor assigned to the Department of Defense. In this case, the contractor is listed as the software engineer for the DoD password accounts..This email information shows the Pentagon and President were monitoring the military analysts to make sure they were "on message". The DoD emails also show military personnel connected with CIFA, the Pentagon's domestic intelligence service. This name is linked with not only CIFA, but the White House contractors "preserving" White House emails.
Does this prove the NSA was involved with the propaganda effort? No, it shows which military analysts are linked with firms which have an apparent intelligence-community-connection; and a curious connection with domestic IT-efforts linked with the White House. The IP numbers connected with these military analysts have a curious connection with not just the intelligence community, but also digital data forensics. This means they had the capability to analyze the media messages, and, if needed, access computers..The DoD emails appear to have shed light on how the President conducted information warfare, used NSLs, and knew which media messages would manipulate the country to support the war in Iraq. The next step will be to find the specific meeting where these players agreed to and coordinated this plan. That's where the DOJ JCON database comes in.
.We have shown:.
A. The DoD emails include specific email accounts which can be derived, and reveal the redacted names;

B. These redacted names are linked with contractors, personnel, and IP numbers associated with the intelligence community; and

C. The IP numbers, names, military analysts, and contractors linked with these redacted names from the DoD emails are linked with the same firms referred to as "NSA-related" entities.
.The next step is to ask the simple question: .
When do we depart the real of "national security," -- as an excuse to hide information -- and trump that claim with a counter-claim the President and others illegally redacted information and classified information to hide evidence of illegal activity?
.The DoD emails strongly support the latter assertion: The President and others working with the military analysts have classified and suppressed information not to protect a bonafide state secret, but to suppress information related to alleged criminal activity. It remains to be understood whether that alleged criminal activity is narrowly related to  propaganda, FISA violations, war crimes, prisoner abuse..* Trumping President's Attorney-Client Privilege.Until the US government finds some favorable weather to think about these issues, it's our job to continue digging in McClellan's book, the ACLU FOIA information, and the DoD emails to find more evidence of criminal activity. Once this nexus is proven, the court might be persuaded to compel the President and others to produce evidence, and trump the claim of executive privilege with the crime-fraud exception to the attorney-client privilege (445 F.3d 266 )..That's not the end of it. We can also look at the DOJ connected emails, and explore the connections between the US Attorneys, the digital data forensics experts, and understand some motivations of the US Attorneys not to prosecute. .* Applying Lessons of Military Analysts to "DoJ Analysts" -- Lawyers.We've already established through the US Attorney-firing emails, a White House connection. There is emerging evidence that a high profile prosecution -- and the decisions to prosecute or not prosecute -- are linked with established relationships between the Department of Justice, the NSA, and the digital data forensics community..As with the NSA and military analysts, it's likely the Department of Justice JCON database has information about the DoJ public relations efforts. The same information warfare that appears to have been orchestrated by Feith, the Vice President and President through DoD appears to have been replicated within DoJ and DOJ OLC..Our burden was not to prove the President was using the NSA, the NSA-related IP numbers, or the analysts for illegal activity. Our only burden was to show there was a relationship. We have met our burden. It's the job of the President's legal counsel inside DOJ OLC to justify why the claims of privilege should not be trumped by the crime-fraud exception. The evidence in the DOD emails, combined with McClellan's damaging revelations, overwhelmingly supports an adverse ruling against the Department of Justice and Administration..The government has exceeded it's 30-day timeline to respond to a FOIA. The government should be required to waive all costs related to providing fully public access to the relevant emails and documents from the JCON database.
