Hillary's Perplexing Collapse in Michigan Confounds Experts
What is astoninishing is Clinton’s recent Michigan collapse. It is possible that as her name was the only one on the ballot she took Michigan’s support for granted, but the newest numbers show that Obama’s support has grown by over 40%. According to the latest Rasmussen Poll shows McCain beating Obama in the state 43-42 and with a 45-42 lead over Clinton. Obama is viewed favorably by 50% of the state’s voters compared to 47% for Clinton. 48% of Michigan votes believe Obama is the stronger candidate while 41% believe Clinton in.
So the big question remains what happenned? Senator Clinton’s collapse from the primary where she so thoroughly demolished undeclared led myself and many others to believe she was untouchable in Michigan.

The word "inevitable" will never mean the same again.
Hillary's "Michigan collapse" is probably an illusion. 40% percent of Democratic voters actually showed up to vote against Hillary, even though they thought it wouldn't count!
It'll be interesting to watch the narrative shift as the states she's won when battling Obama start to shift their view once he's the nominee (in a few days) and the DNC and he join in a 50-state strategy the likes of which noone in America has seen before.

Next time Hillary runs for prez, she'll just have to make sure her only opponent is Uncommitted. It's her only chance of winning.

By the way, who are the experts who are so confounded? I haven't heard any. Matter of fact, the MSM has pretty much ignored the fact of Obama's ascendance there. Just like they ignore that the so-called electoral map they use is largely based on months-old poll results.

I think you missed the subtle snark.
Look at the author's earlier post that's now near the top of the rec list...

You said,
"Obama did so poorly that his name wasn’t even included on the ballot."
Obama withdrew his name. Study up.

Damn, I'm so excited about our prospects for the future that I completely missed the snark!
And I'm not being snarky about that.
I should have recognized it when he said Obama's name was removed because he was so far behind. It's just the troll action has been so hideous that I thought Nate might have been misled by Constantine or the like.

Yeah, that's the problem with this season. No matter how insane something sounds, the person saying it might actually be serious about it.

That's what I get for watching the RBC meeting. Hillary's alternate universe touched mine for a moment, which threw me a little.
How long, how much more long, how long?

Too true! It must be the opposite of "inconceivable"... (cf. The Princess Bride)

A solution has been reached which has been more than fair to Hillary and rewards Michigan and Florida for pushing their primaries forward. Now Michigan and Florida get to be front and center for the candidates and media because they have been "wronged" by their governments and the DNC.
A bunch of crap. Kudos to Hillary for helping to damage representative democracy!

Gotta love how Obama placed the divorce from his church in a time when it got almost zero coverage. Hillary and the networks must be dying over not having another weekend devoted to showing clips of Rev Wright.
More proof that the Obama team is getting really good at this game.
