Re: Josh's "Terms, 1" - Hillary drew the wrong conclusions
Josh's article mentions a old analysis he did on the prospect of a Hillary run for Pres in '04. His analysis was spot on - in 2002 she was divisive candidate that needed the deep-blue NY playing field to get into the Senate. Unfortunately, Hillary appears to have not let this truthful analysis deter her from running for Pres in '08 (when it would be 'easier', without incumbent POTUS or VP), or divert her to more productive goals (such as becoming a strong liberal/activist legislator and leader in the Senate, like Teddy Kennedy).
Instead, she appears to have tried to break through every legitimate obstacle Josh mentions, but in a way that fundamentally undermined her reason for running, e.g., she realized that she was seen as too liberal, so she pushes for anti flag burning amendments and votes for the Iraq war. Then at some point her inability to admit an error kicks in and she doubles down on anti-Iran votes, and generally acts (and campaigns) in a way that is simply not worthy of the large army of devoted followers that she had genuinely earned during her time as First Lady. A tragedy of Shakespearian proportions.

You can't win the presidency if people don't trust you. Hillary doesn't stay in one place long enough to be trusted. First she said she was going to vote against the war (or implied that), then she voted for it. Now she's back against it. She gives herself a track record for all occasions.
Obama sounds like the kind of guy that you could knock on his door, go in, and tell him what's on your mind, and he would listen. Hillary would figure out a way to get you out of her office without committing to anything.
I don't like Hillary. I just don't trust her. I've searched my conscience over and over again and I know it's not gender. She's a sneak, that's all.
