Suggestion for Disaffected Clinton Supporters
This is especially for women who feel that sexism has played a part in Clinton's current to secure the nomination.
Instead of voting for John McCain, who, instead of supporting equal pay for equal work and employee rights, suggested that women get more education, or even sitting out, you could vote for Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney. She stands for women's rights, gay rights, civil rights, and she's anti-war. She voted against authorization for the war! What's best is that she's a woman!

Yes. Let's vote for people just because they have two X chromosomes. Seems like a grand idea.

Isn't that the difference between Obama and Clinton? Isn't that why so many of Clinton's supporters are claiming this as a "feminist" cause? The Washington Post today in the editorials: If not Hillary, who? If not now, when?
And for Dem women, doesn't McKinney represent their views better than McCain?

I don't think you're giving women enough credit. Surely, they're not voting for Hillary only because she's a woman. It belittles her accomplishments and who she is as a person. You're suggesting that women are interchangeable and voting for McKinney for president is similar to voting for Hillary. Granted, I don't know very much about McKinney except what you've written above but voting for her is not voting for Hillary. You definitely should vote for the candidate that best represents your views and who you think will be able to lead this country but voting for someone just because she's a woman? That's wrong. And to answer the Washington Post article, if not Hillary, probably not McKinney.

I get your point.
My point is that all those women who hate the sexism that has "cost" Clinton the nomination and who have no intentions of supporting Obama don't have to support McCain.
And if they're reasoning for not supporting Obama is the sexism in the campaign, and they won't to support a woman, then here's a woman for them to support and get back at the DNC at the same time.

Not to be a wet blanket, but just like Clinton, McKinney has not secured the nomination of her party. She's merely one candidate of many. (How does the Green Party selection process work, anyways?)

She has 187 delegates. The person closest is Nader with 111, and he said he would run as an independent, not a Green.

Really? McKinney? She used to represent the district in Georgia that I grew up in. She wasn't even able to win the primary when she ran in 2006 for re-election. She is going to be the Green Party nominee?
