What about Bush's Plans to Bomb Iran by August?
While we are embroiled in watching the spectacle put before us by those who program the shows, perhaps a peek at a new leak about how our sociopathic war-criminal-in-chief is scheming for more mayhem while he can still get away with it.
See: Bush 'Plans Iran Air Strike by August'
How will this affect the election? What will the rest of the world do about it?
Can we stop these maniacs before they vaporize more people and create ever more enemies the world over?

Yep. Posted the Asia Times link yesterday.
I wonder if being "outed" for this makes any difference?
I can definitely imagine the Strait of Hormuz being a very dangerous place for shipping very quickly if this happens. The same strait that sees much of the world's oil pass through it on a daily basis.
The lunatic wants to start World War III.

Hi Old Grouch --
Oh, sorry; I actually missed seeing your earlier post!
I hope no one minds that this comes up again!
It seems worthy of plenty more consideration; I'm sure you'll agree.
If BushCo manages to do this, I'm afraid that none of us can possibly escape the consequent damages ...
When we allow madmen access to that kind of destructive force, we are already in deep trouble.

Hi Caringthinkingperson --
it really is hard to hold onto our mental health in our present predicaments!
(btw, even though I admit that my 'name' here suggests a certain 'masculine identity,' I am actually another female! I couldn't bring myself to 'confess' this on waldengirl's blog ... it became too much, so to speak at that moment! hahaha! I guess I use the WRE bit as a reminder to all of us about what we're having to deal with ....)
the machine in Washington, D.C. doesn't approve of our impeaching this freak monster; I say let's dump them!

Relative to impeachment: Nice idea, but at this point it's not viable. First, we'd have to take Cheney down. Can't have that crazy bastard running the show, even for two weeks.
Then, getting the Bill of Impeachment through the House will take a while. Trial in the Senate would likely as not begin after the summer recess ends, if then. And there simply are not enough votes in the Senate to convict and remove. We can count on maybe two or three defections from the Republicans, tops. And we'd lose Holy Joe, of that I have no doubt. So really, appealing as it sounds, it's a moot point. All we'd get is not-so-entertaining political theater.
The time was maybe two years ago, and even then, getting it through the Senate would never have happened.
Me? I'm thinking The Hague, for war crimes trials. In January, I want President Obama to point at Bush and Cheney as he lowers his hand from the Oath of Office and say "Arrest those men!" Maybe a stopover at Bagram for a little "rendition" on the way, too. I hear it's quite lovely that time of year.

God, I'd love to see that! BushCo in the dock at the Hague! All of them! Everyone of those criminals and in every dept where they committed so many crimes: torture, rendition, illegal domestic spying and propaganda, etc etc

I served in the Strait/Persian Gulf during my hitch in the USN in the early 1980's. Even my young mind then discerned that that was crappy geography in which to conduct naval warfare.
Add to the mix Sunburn missiles and other sophisticated Iranian defensive systems, and our forces are looking at the real possibility of incurring major losses - of both vessels and life.
I don't even wish to permit my mind to extrapolate further.. :-/

yeah, I'm sure we don't need this hell ...
and I don't believe we even need to go there anyway ...
I believe we need to find ways of living together in this world --
the options don't meet the sanity test ...
