Give McCain Equal Media Time -- It's Only Fair!
McCain and his supporters have claimed in recent days that Obama is receiving too much media attention, that the media has a "crush" on Obama and covers his every word and slights John McCain.
I agree -- clearly the media is not paying enough time to McCain and it's time they started. It's time they started covering the teeming hoards at McCain's foreign speeches. It's time they started featuring McCain's deep and up to the minute foreign policy knowledge. And, above all, McCain's brand name straight talk.
The American people deserve a complete picture of the Republican candidate and I think the media ought to give it to them.
It's only fair to Obama! Just ask the nonpartisan Center for Media and Public Affairs!

I started an online petition last week demanding the media give McCain equal coverage. Check it out here.

Your "here" did not link to anything.
Both my wife and I want McCain to get equal coverage because the more people scrutinize him, the more they will understand that his experience counts for nothing.
The best thing that has happened to McCain is decreased media attention. Could you imagine how much of a bigger disaster last week would have been for McCain had the media not been covering Obama in Europe?
With the negative ads that he is running, McCain is finally starting to get some well deserved attention - and the focus is going to bury his candidacy,

Or better..."John McCain 2008: Get off my lawn!!"

This is a great idea. The whole reason they end up undercutting Obama on successes like the trip abroad or on leading in the polls is because they have to talk about it so much that they feel obligated to be critical.

To your point, the McCain camp would have been much better off if they had kept a lower profile during last week's trip, as opposed to playing the Me Too! game.

I think the photo-op in the golf cart -- with 84-year-old poppy Bush having darker hair and looking younger than McHateful -- was a brilliant campaign move. We got to see the real McHateful: old and in the way.

Did you see McCain with the Dalai Lama? It made the 41/McCain op seem statemanlike by comparison.

My favorite part of the photo was the "This is 41's cart--Hands off." That and the populist setting of Walkers Point.

It is also worth noting that 41's appearance made McCain look old.

Maybe he might give some kind of policy position - any policy position if he was in front of a camera. Nah.
I'm all for putting McCain under the same microscope as Obama. Not gonna happen. His base loves him too much.
