Obama's small donors

I think Josh is right in his intuition about the Obama small donor army
I was suffering from primary fatigue by the end and felt reluctant to give more of money while waiting for what I hoped was the inevitable confirmation of Obama's nomination.
I did respond at the end of June in response to McCain's surprising fund raising totals in May, but I am probably not the only person that wants some quiet $ time over the summer.

I think Obama's fundraising figures for the month must be really bad, or he would have released them by now. If he did worse than McCain, the Republicans will be dancing in the streets. Two months of disappointing figures and the perception problem starts to kick in. I want a little quiet time over the summer too. But if we lose this election, we'll have no peace for the next four years. We're nearing the finish line. No time to start letting up now.

Ah, just saw the link on the main page. 30 million. Not too shabby. I can't get to the page to read the article, but I'm really glad to see he didn't tank this month.

First time ever got a call from Obama's campaign last night. They asked for another $25 before end of month. Although I responded I'd contributed last week, the campaign 'voice' responded it was very important and needed to ask for another contribution this month. (?)

Because they don't want to release depressing figures. They need to beat McCain in the money wars.

I think the vote that shall go nameless will drag down his take. He's ticked off a lot of his base. I hope not, but I fear it will be so.

The question is, will they get over it? I'm betting on yes. I think they're just having a little tantrum.
