A question for the room...
Apologies in advance if this has been covered here at TPM...but, to what extent is the idea of having a Republican president as a check on what certainly looks like a Democratic landslide in Congress on the radar of the electorate? Not that I expect Karl Rove to be reading this...but it might start to be an underlying thought (if not brought up directly next week in Minn.). Thoughts?

Well, I'm sure it's occurring to some people, but it's also an awfully good way of getting nothing down. And the sitting BS artist has successfully created the Imperial Presidency, which McSham would be more than happy to continue.

Yes, it would be deadlock but I wonder if the Repugs would go so far as to *actually bring it up* at the convention, even at the risk of showing how badly their brand is doing...

The dems priority is to get reelected. They calculated Obama will get the AA and young to actually vote this time.
If he loses, they still win.
