Credit where credit is due (David Brooks version)

I've been hard on David Brooks sometimes, but he deserves credit for something he said last Friday on the News Hour. He and Mark Shields were discussing energy policies, and Brooks, without dodging or diverting, said in plain English that McCain's energy proposals would have no effect on gas prices, but were mere political hype.

Fair enough: nice to hear the truth!
