Fox is reporting it's Sarah Palin!

Fox is reporting that Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska will be John McCain's choice for V.P.

Color me shocked.  And I mean that truly.

The biggest frame of attack by McCain levied against Obama is his much vaunted "inexperience".

But McCain undercuts that argument by selecting as his number two, a woman with two years of experience as a Governor.  Remember, the prime consideration for any V.P. is that the person will be ready, day one, to become President.

What does this tell us about McCain's judgment to be President?

What this pick would be is pure, unadulterated politics. A cynical attempt to woo disenfranchised Hillary supporters.  Not a pick that places the best interests of his party, or his country, in the forefront.  Country First my ass!

As a result, I heartily endorse and encourage McCain to select Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential choice! :-)

There goes the "inexperience" line. It was the McCain campaign's only real, viable attack against Obama -- AND THEY BLEW IT!

Biden is gonna tear her to shreds in the debates.

He has to do it with gentility as not to appear "sexist", but I agree.

"Politics is not Beanbag".

Playing the "sex card" is gonna infuriate Hillary and her supporters like you wouldn't believe and it is THEY who are gonna finish her off, not Biden.

You are so wrong. You see, as the Republicans pointed out by picking somebody with all the experience Joe Biden has as his VP Obama showed his inexperience. He felt he needed Biden because he knew he didn't have the experience to be President. By picking Palin who has less experience than Obama, McCain shows that he doesn't need anybody else's experience thereby showing himself to be the more ready candidate.

The fundamental and constitutional role of a VP is to act as President in the event the President becomes incapacitated.

How can this be viewed as a wise choice?

Remember, McCain is 72 years old. Thrice stricken with cancer.

Don't underestimate the intransigence of the older woman voters who want nothing more than to see a woman in the white house. The question is how many are there? On the other hand Palin is very much pro-life which is not popular with feminists. At any rate it makes the race much more interesting and I was enjoying how boring McCain is.
