How about this response to the Ayer controversy


After a thorough explanation of the circumstances of Obama/Ayers' associations:

"If we must never associate with anyone with an unsavory past, no matter what the current circumstances, then by this logic none of us should associate with John McCain, due to his role in the Keating Five scandal. If John McCain wants to argue that he is too corrupt and untrustable to be worked with under any circumstances, that's a debate we can have. Which is it, John?"
