McCain's "Exciting Ad!!"
I know what's coming:
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/08/28/mccain-plans-exciting-campaign-ad-thursday-night/
What they will do is use excerpts from the speech Obama gives, combined with insta-rebuttals. (E.g.: "Barack Obama said he cares about the working class. But if so, why did he call them "bitter" and blah blah blah?") The novelty is that this will occur directly after Obama's speech (they just need to snip a few clips from the speech he just gave, to drop into the ad.)
Mark my words. They already have all the rebuttals mapped out. Just heat and serve.
The spin-fest after the speech will be furious. Obama's team better be ready!

He won't do that. If he does, he might as well just punch himself in the face for all the good it will do his candidacy.

Cool... it will backfire and now if he runs it, it will be OK for the DNC, Obama campaign and third parties to disrupt the GOP convention.
Talking points... the set is too pretentious? yeah, cuz Washington echos the design of ancient greece not to be pretentious, but to symbolize the principles of Democracy born in Ancient Greece. The Acropolis is for the citizens - the public. Speaking in a large stadium is very much in keeping with Democracy by opening up the speech to ordinary citizens - the Republicans are being incredibly stupid here, misunderstanding the symbolism.
