More On McCain - Put his POW business to bed
I've been swamped in my professional life recently and have not posted in several months - but enough is enough. As a veteran myself, I am incensed by McCain's one-excuse-fits-all remedy, so here is how to smack that twit where it hurts -- On VETERAN's ISSUES. Let's see him use his excuse for this.
I first posted this info back in February - I bring selected portions back as it is incredibly relevant now.
Ever hear Old McCain quote Washington? He uses the following:
"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive veterans of early wars were treated and appreciated by our nation."
Too bad his record on related votes pales horribly compared to Obama or Clinton, and I suspect Biden, too.
But that was exactly the case as he demeaned Kerry in 2006 and through to today - his record on Veteran issues is abysmal - and that's being charitable. In fact, on the whole - in almost every measure, even the lowest scoring Democrat in Congress score as well or better than the highest scoring Republican.
Here is a nice synopsis
Clinton an A- (unfortunately, this page no longer survives)
Apparently, MCCain wants to reap the rewards of being a POW while telling all others to go take a hike to the hot spot down below.
What a dick!
Spread the word.

A nice $300K ad buy in Virginia would be a good start.
Anybody got a spare $300K lying around?
Oh, never mind. Obama has said he doesn't want any 527s, so I guess we're all have to Trust Him.

What appalls me, to a degree - is the free ticket the national media seems to want to give him on this. His record is truly appalling... what a snake.
I wonder if Dowd would expound a little so others MIGHT then hit McCain on it.

That's bullshit. Obama didn't prohibit groups from running their own advocacy - he asked the groups running their own advocacy to be honorable in their funding.
Why not give $5000 to moveon.org? If you have $300K burning a hole in your pocket - that's chump change and they are hitting the airwaves hard. There are many other groups you could work with ... your $300K would really do some good to move this election.
You do have $300K right? Ooooohhhh, you say you don't actually have any dough ... and ... you're just being a dick. Shocking.

Weird comment.
Obama will have at least three times the money McBush will have because he didn't take federal money.
I'm sure plenty of it will be spent in VA.
Way more than $300K.
McBush is the one who will be heavily using the semi-legal "outside" ads. It has already started.

Shamelessly again, http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/08/the-commanderinchief-threshold.php was my idea on how to introduce this to the public. The numbers seem to be as I recalled, so the ad would be factual too :)

I am so sick of the media's ignoring every alarming thing about McCain. How can the media be so baffled at how to handle McCain's POW status. How can the majority of Americans believe this MCSHAME person would make a better Commander-in-Chief? I'm going to be brave and go out on a politically incorrect limb. McCain was a POW a PRISONER of war, in otherwords he was CAUGHT BY THE ENEMY in a war that was impossible to win just like Iraq. Yet, McCain says "I know how to win wars" then says about Iraq "...You win, by winning it." Huh? Well ain't that a confidence builder?
