Palin caught reversing herself several times on Firing Scandal.
I know you're not supposed to just post links, but this video really speaks for itself.
Over 87% of Alaskans think their own governor is lying.
Palin Lies.

I love it, she tried to promote him out of his position by saying he'd be ideal for the rural bootlegging and alcoholism posting, and then when he turned down that posting, she fired him for not doing enough for rural bootlegging and alcoholism.
This woman is in deep here.
And Monegan has been proven to be telling the truth, and Palin lying. And he says she personally pressured him.
This is a much watch vid - watch it and spread it around.

According to the independent counsel, she cooperates and released the audio of all calls related to this. They even said they would not file a subpoena because she's fully cooperating.

Why did she deny it at first then? Sometimes I think you're just being argumentative.

Hey, devil's advocate is a good brainstorming tool. I'm guilty.

Did Palin have any other choice but to cooperate? Openness (or the appearance of it) is the best way to deflect questions of impropriety.
If something is discovered, then all bets are off...

It's disheartening that someone entrusted to potentially deal with national and international policy would expand her political energy on this sort of petty reverse cronyism. It betrays a lack of seriousness and priorities, at least for the VP office. I would hope she has more respect for public office than Bush or Cheney.

Everyone needs to read this concerning Governor Palin: http://mudflats.wordpress.com/2008/08/29/what-is-mccain-thinking-one-alaskans-perspective/
Trust me, you won't regret it.

THANK YOU! That was excellent. Recommend everyone take Chrono's advice. Read the essays and follow the links.
On andrewhalcro.com site (one of the links from Mudflats the following comments on Palin from Alaskan voters got my attention:
" going to be portrayed for who many of us up here have discovered she really is: unethical, a fabricator, stunningly vindictive, clueless about policies and procedures, narcissistic, uninformed, inarticulate about things she hasn't memorized her talking points on, and utterly uninformed on national and international affairs."
and another,
"But we take our eye off the ball when the perky silly cheerleader is the one in power and she and her husband demonstrate even worse behaviour over and over. Ms Palin has had the advantage of a complicent press here in Alaska willing to ignore the Palins bullying and dishonesty as long as she plays the victim and stays perky. Sara Palin is like the high school goody two shoes who runs up to the teacher puffs out her lower lip and complains that the big bad football players in the back of the room are picking on her and are cheating on the test. While the is teacher is scolding the other students Sara is stealing the answer key to the test. Corruption can come in a Perky Package."

Governor Palin appears to be very well-spoken, an advocate of political reform and yes a self-described hockey mom. But she also a blatant liar who didn't think her plan to attempt to cover up her oldest daughters pregnancy would ever come back to haunt her.

Dude I am almost POSITIVE this should not be a subject we touch on. It was alre3ady proven false. It's tabloid like. I know the NE lucked out with John Edwards but this is rediculous.

Oh shit they have a video out of her hiking when she should have been 8 MONTHS PREGNANT. I take back what I said. I will won't touch on the subject but if it turns out to be true, WOW.

Actually, doing the math I think she would be more like six months pregnant, but usually the more babies you have (I should know after three), the bigger you are each pregnancy, since the uterus is larger and therefore the baby has more slack, so to speak, to grow. Of course, she is a very athletic woman and maybe she was wearing a corset. I don't think we should go there because it's the easiest way for Democrats to look petty and vindictive. After all, if she's lying, she's doing it to protect her child and her grandchild and I, for one, could not find it in my hard to blame her. It's her other stances that I reject, such as that if that same daughter had been raped and it resulted in pregnancy, she wouldn't allow her to abort the child, even if the rapist was, say, her uncle or another family member. Now, that stance is, I think, worthy of disrespect, although I am holding fire and keeping my powder dry because I see her as a "perfect storm" candidate for VP to rally the wingnuts and bring all sorts of issues into play that WILL NOT held Obama become our President.

Should have reread my own post before posting:
"my hard" should be "my heart" and "WILL NOT held" should, of course, be "WILL NOT help."
Sorry.

Great post.
When will the issue of aerial hunting of wolves and bears come to light? It's on the ballot in Alaska; twice before Alaskans voted for the ban the slaughter of only to be overturned legislature. The issue is supported by Palin. As I understand, the Alaskan board overseeing this issue is stacked with conservative hunters who feel that the wolves are reducing the number of moose they can hunt. The term used is "reallocation" from wolves to humans.
