Sarah Palin is an Exciting Pick
John McCain's pick of Sarah Palin as Vice-President is exciting news. With McCain turning 72 today it made sense that he would choose a young VP to assist him in the day to day operations at the White House from meeting with foreign dignitaries, to meeting with oil company officials, to reminding him to take his medication.
What is so special about the Palin pick is what it says about McCain. While Biden's experience showed Obama's inexperience liability, picking somebody with even less experience than Obama shows that McCain has full confidence in the ability of himself and his lobbiests to lead.
With McCain's own daughters reaching marrying age, it must be gratifying for him to know that they will have Aunt Sarah looking out for them if any federally employed male breaks their little hearts.
What McCain may not have reallized is that by picking a woman they may have some extra credibility with disaffected Hillary supporters who are tired of fighting for equal pay and other rights and would like to have a woman President when McCain passes. Well done John.

What is so special about McCain's pick is what it says about McCain's attitude about women. Apparently, Mr. Straight Talk believes that a woman is a woman is a woman and that it wasn't Hillary that her supporters were excited about--it was Hillary's gender. The bold McCain strategy is to find someone with breasts and a vagina to be his running mate in order to appeal to Hillary's breast-centric, vaginistically inclined supporters. I'm sure McCain believes that his simplistic and simpleminded choice is just the ticket to put him over the top.
Hillary supporters: she a woman! Get it? YOU'RE a woman too! Cool, huh? So vote for McCain. He knows you're smart enough to figure this one out, even if he believes his own wife is only a c*nt.

This choice is breathtakingly stupid. it undercuts the entire campaign theme and thinks by choosing a woman they will get Hillary's voters.
In case the campaign missed somthing the Hillary crowd was voting for her - not some unknown Gov. who happens to be a woman. Maybe the PUMA's will like it but they can all fit in small bus as we saw in Denver.
This choice shows an incredible lack of judgment and violates the first VP rule - pick some one ready to be President, second do no harm....
Gov. Palin appears to be a unique and talented woman an mother but that is not what makes her ready to be President.
Once again McCain shows us why he was 794/799 in his class at Annapolis and that his famed instincts and Maverick nature are not ready for prime time.
