The Run Up to McCain's VP Pick: No one gives a damn!
Though I am thoroughly pissed with the MSM more often than not, I must say that I am delighted that McCain is getting zero coverage of the run up to his VP announcement. There is little speculation. It is a clear sign of what we see happening in out country. There is a clear enthusiasm gap between Democrats and Republicans. Barack was able to grab America with the run up to his announcement, and everyone is running away from the run up to McCains.
Last week, there were a few pieces done about McCain's VP options, but they were largely driven by the interest in Barack's selection.

It's true. McCain is boring and the stable of VP hopefuls are the same. He gets the attention by going ugly. He'll do it again. As a matter of fact all day today they were showing (for free) his new ad using Hillary and a take on the 3am ad. Yesterday they were airing repeatedly on the news (for free) his ad with the Hillary supporter. That's all he's got, the substance just isnt' there. He's managing to work the dark side pretty well though. The press just eats that crap up.

Yeah, many in the press are carrying water for him. It is disappointing but what can you do? It is surprising that Obama can manage to perform so well in the polls considering how everything is "bad news for Obama." I can see it now on Fox Noise:
Folks, jesus christ has just come down to shake hands with Barack Obama. Jesus didn't take Barack to heaven with him, so that must mean that he really backed Gov. Richardson in the primary. Shaking hands with Jesus is bad news for Barack Obama.

Bademus: though the press may be eating up the crap ads... the public, maybe not so much. McCain's lack of substance seems to be wearing thin on the electorate.
I don't think McCain's version of "Head-On, Apply Directly to the Forehead" will translate into future gain. Soon enough, the only response the public will be able to muster is irritation ... followed by a general tuning-out of McCain's Jerry Springer-stlye campaign.
