TPM accepts all ad money, not the least because it avoids partisan accusations, but mainly because Josh can't pick and choose his ads, but takes what comes down the Google and other adserver pipes.

I'm pretty sure that most of the ads on this site are generated by google, meaning that the content is reflective of the web surfing habits of the visitors of the site. This leads me to two possible conclusions:
1. The google algorithm that decides what ads to post does not discriminate between liberal ads and conservative. it just grabs one out of the "political" bucket.
2. There are enough visitors to this site who also frequent republican sites to represent a valuable demographic. Personally, I think this is the more likely case.
Bottom line, I don't think Josh is deciding, ad-by-ad, what is going to come up on TPM, which would be a serious balancing act and a slippery slope.
BTW, if you do frequent repub sites, you'll be shocked at how many dem ads show up there, as well.
