The most recent Marist Poll on the Vice Presidential debate has the following question:
Do you think Sarah Palin or Joe Biden is more likely to [b]e better informed on the issues?
28% of survey respondents thought Sarah Palin has a better command of the issues. Seriously. 28%.
Look, you may be completely in the tank for McCain and Palin, but how can you look in the mirror and proclaim she is more well versed on the issues than Joe Biden. Seriously?

More surprising to me was the result of a CNN poll about who will win the VP debate and it was a 50-50 split between Palin and Biden. WTF?! And everybody's talking how she's expected to perform miserably...
On the other hand, about 66% of people thought Obama would win the first debate, also quite illogical, especially considering that the same people were answering both questions...

I think she's expected to perform so miserably, that people will consider it a "win" for her if she convinces people she won't blow the world up if she happened to become President.
I'd also consider it a win if Biden doesn't tear any of her limbs.

Some people hold on to Biden's verbal screwups like a life preserver.
It's really just bias. I don't care about Biden's occasional foot-in-mouth because I like him. People who don't like him take it as evidence he's unfit.
The same people probably just like Palin for emotional reasons, or she's a woman, or whatever. You can't apply logic to faith.

Sounds like they're probably the same 28% who still approve of the job Bush is doing. I've said it before, Republicans are characterized by zealotry. No amount of evidence, facts, or other information will change their totally faith based view of reality.

I'd guess that the 28% is completely made up of people who absolutely believe that abortion is murder. If you believe that its perfectly rational to consider it the most important issue of our time and to vote on it to the exclusion of all other issues.
