ENOUGH!!! Since McCAIN is hiding behind her, this well be MY LAST COMMENT ON SARAH PALIN!
At some point Sarah Palin is going to have to start saying "I'm Sarah Palin and I approve this message."
The media is running the McCAIN/BUSH/ROVE Playbook.
WE HAVE BEEN TOO! ENOUGH!!!
Because of this the MSM, us and pretty much everyone else has totally lost their way on what this campaign is all about.
Do we want to make this election about about Sarah Palin and whether or not she is qualified to be the Prez? I think not.
So I Urge everyone don't get BLOGGED down in the bullshit and lies Sarah Palin is regurgitating. We need to
be digging up all the dirt we can find and verify on
John Sidney McCain, and tell everyone that will listen, just EXACTLY how bad it will get if John McCain gets elected President of The United States.
We need to tell people that if they want their children to be drafted go ahead and vote for John McCain. We need to tell people that if they want their health care benefits TAXED go ahead and vote for John McCain. We need to tell people that if they feel they can get health insurance for their ENTIRE family with the $5000 tax credit McCain proposes the go ahead and vote for John McCain.
We need to make sure that EVERYONE knows that John McCain has made a HARD RIGHT TURN from the person they thought they knew. We need to make sure that EVERYONE knows that John McCain will appoint Supreme Court and Federal judges that think it is OK for the government to spy on its' own citizens. We need to make sure that EVERYONE knows that John McCain is so far in bed with lobbyists he has to climb over 30 or 40 people just to get out of that bed. We need to make sure that EVERYONE knows that John McCain will GIVE MORE TAX CUTS to big business and the most wealthy of America.
We need to make sure that EVERYONE knows that John McCain will continue the BUSH TAX CUTS to big business that SHIP JOBS OVERSEAS. Etc...etc...etc...
DROP SARAH PALIN LIKE A BAD HABIT, WE ARE RUNNING THE GOPs PLAYBOOK!!
SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTT!!!

Well, you're right to stop attacking her. That has really hurt the democrats. So I hope they continue.
As far as your points:
The Draft - give this a rest. You democrats have trotted this out every election. It just makes you look stupid. There is not going to be a draft, and you know it.
Taxing health benefits and the 5k credit:
Well, I can certainly buy insurance for that for a family in Florida. It is actually more than enough. And since the gov't isn't paying anything now, it is a huge savings. You complain that he offers to give you 5k because it might not be 100% of your expense. Well, it's 5k more than you get now!
The tax cuts for companies to ship jobs overseas: Don't exist and never did. There is no tax on non-repatriated income, income earned overseas not brought back into the US. There was a one time allowance on repatriating money. No other country taxes money earned by overseas divisions. We need to make our corporate tax more in line with the world. Better yet to eliminate it. Companies don't really pay taxes, people do. Tax a company and there is just less money for new jobs, expansion, pay raises, dividends, etc. All things that are good and yield to more revenue for the gov't.

You have got to be an engineer. And I'm guessing about my age (47) (grew up with Regan).
I could get about 3 months of health insurance for 5k IF a company would cover me or my kids on an individual policy.
Maybe you will agree with this
We MUST do away with for profit insurance companies when it comes to health care.
AGREE?

I am an engineer. I am 46. Reagan was the first president I was able to vote for. Where do you live? I live in Florida, and BCBS costs me 240 per month for and individual policy and that covers everything except eyeglasses and dental. I would like to see a law prohibiting insurance companies from dropping someone once covered, and requiring portability. i.e. If you have insurance, the current company can't drop you and other companies have to offer to cover you at the same rates. I had a friend who literally worked himself to death because he was afraid of being laid off and losing his coverage (Clinton cuts of the intell budget cut a lot of jobs)

I live in Southeastern Ohio a half hour from KY and WV. I AM A HILLBILLYfrom Appalachia.
Call an insurance company and ask them for a quote for you a wife and 2 kids (age 13 & 11), I'm betting you'll fall over.
Then google "post-claim underwriting" and read the horror stories of people that have paid for Health Coverage for years then once they file a claim the Ins. Co. hires Investigators to try to find a way to deny their claim and drop their coverage. As long as John McCain or any other candidate for that matter supports Health Coverage over Health Care I refuse to support them. Obama has talked about HEALTH CARE NOT HEALTH COVERAGE that is a huge difference.
Engineer?

I have hillbilly relatives, since I grew up in Cincinnati. I agree the insurance companies need some tougher rules, but I don't like gov't controlled health care. It is not the panacea you think it is. The gov't gets to ration care, to determine what/if you can get treatment. I don't want the gov't telling me I have to have my teeth pulled because it's cheaper than a crown (UK), or being forced to wait for 6 months to a year for an angiogram/angioplasty (Canada). Or being told I am too old to get a new hip replacement. Lower medical costs by increasing the number of doctors, reducing lawsuit awards, reducing paperwork, and make some changes to the insurance racket.

This server is pathetic!!!! Your site is probably better! Take 2:
I have hillbilly relatives, I grew up in southwest Ohio. I agree on the need to crack down on insurance companies, but gov't provided health care is not the panacea you think it is. I don't want the gov't telling me I have to have a tooth pulled because it's cheaper than a crown (UK), or being forced to wait 6 months to a year for angioplasty(Canada), or being told I am too old for a new hip. If the gov't controls it, they ration it, and I don't like that. If you want to reduce cost, increase the number of doctors, reduce lawsuit awards, and reduce paperwork.

Its getting there take a look and let me know what you think. I live 111 miles east of Cincinnati in Jackson, OH.
The Lawsuit argument is BS my best friend is a doctor and when Ohio passed tort reform HE was sure his malpractice ins. would at the very least not go up.. IT DID and by a higher percentage every year than before the tort reform.
The problem with health care is that insurance Co. make more than the doctors.
Overhead of Medicare is right around 4% health care companies average about 20-25% profit plus the cost of administration.
What kind of engineer are you?

Well, I said I didn't like insurance companies. They are supposed to be regulated, but that is a farce. I think I'd prefer a society where the selling of insurance of any type was a death penalty offense! Insurance has caused prices to skyrocket, as doctors can charge more than what a patient could afford. Look at pet care, I can get my dog's hip replaced for 1200 bucks. For a human it would be six figures. Why?
Oh, software engineer, but now retired.
