The Reagan revolution IS NOT OVER. It's adherents are zealots and they are legion. They do not see that Reagan conservatism is what ails the nation.
They believe, no matter how irrationally, that it's a only problem of specific personalities - Bush is an incompetent, Rumsfeld was too rigid, etc. They proceed on faith, not on critical analysis. Objective reality (or even common sense) will not penetrate their perception filter.
