It's all about Sarah

In the Palin interview clips, it certainly didn't seem like she was very interested in talking about John McCain.  While she was (at least some of the time) parroting his stances because the catch phrases had been drilled into her head, she certainly didn't say the things that I would expect, like "Senator's McCain's stance on that policy is..." or "I fully support Senator McCain's position, which is..."

It's like she's forgotten who is at the top of the ticket.  I have to wonder if the McCain camp has lathered up Palin to such an extent that she could care less whether she talks about old whatshisface.  I think Gibson's use of the word "hubris" was perfect.  I halfway expect to see her show up at a rally with a t-shirt that says:  "It's all about ME."

I only saw that little clip Josh put up - because I'm boycotting abc and Gibson and Palin. BUT my first thought was - she's a parrot!

So I look on the Cafe... and sure enough, you've used the word "parrot."

Oh. My. God! She just looked so out of her league!

Really. Really. Bad. Terrible!

Thanks for giving me a place to rant a bit!

I wonder whether this will be an eye of the beholder situation where those of us who strongly feel that she is unqualified will see her as cringe-inducingly bad... while those who support her will see a strong and forceful woman who are right on the issues (in their eyes), even if she lacks the deep expertise. In other words, they will see her as a "guts" girl who believes what they believe.

I tend to agree that the people who identify with her wouldn't care if she sat there and did a spunky recitation of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" in response to foreign policy questions.

I sort of chuckle that she may be thinking she's bigger than McCain right now, and that's a monster that the McCain campaign has created.

I loved it when Gibson said something to the effect of: "Excuse me, but I think I just got lost in a blizzard of words... let me clarify..."

In effect, stop repeating the same thing over and over and over!!!

Sarah wanna cracker?
