2 absolutely humiliating election cycles to and 8 long years of political hell and the left has still learned nothing.

November was all but in the freakin' bag.  A CLASS ACT at the top of an historic ticket, a geriatric CLOWN for an opponent...yet somehow the net roots CANNOT WAIT to dive into that gutter and get their asses handed to them by the "culture warriors."

My family is full of Republicans.  They're all infuriated and embarassed by Bush.  They can't stand John McCain.  They are likely votes in Obama's column.

That is, they WERE, until we decided to HELP the GOP fight this battle on their home turf by hyperventilating about anything and everything Palin says and does (and injecting all of the wedge issues Republican COWARDS and TRAITORS hide behind right back into this cycle.) 

For Chrissakes friends, you don't build your numbers by screaming about how you're different.  You build numbers by talking about things you have in common.

LETS GET BACK ON-MESSAGE!

1) REMIND PEOPLE WHAT THIS ELECTION IS REALLY ABOUT:

IRAQ, KATRINA, GITMO, DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, CONSTITUTIONAL RAPE, ECONOMIC CRISIS.  These are things that almost EVERYONE is pissed about, no matter what they think about the NRA.

Even my Evangelical parents and sisters think Global Warming is real. 

If this election is about Iraq, their jobs and retirement funds, they will vote WITH you.  If this election is about abortion and guns, they will vote against you. 
 

2) STOP TALKING ABOUT SARAH PALIN!  The only reason anyones still talking about her is because WE keep bringing her up! (ahem, Josh Marshal, ahem...)  She also happens to be every cultural wedge issue Republicans count on personified. 

On top of that, any criticism of her (regardless of how true it is) gives GOP Media WHORES a ready-made emotional wedge with the center crowd : "These people don't respect YOUR values!" is the line they hide their COWARDLY MURDEROUS  asses behind.. 

Don't give them that ground!
