MSM: What's Happening Isn't Happening

If you regularly visit sites like realclearpolitics as I do you may have noticed a few articles, and one particularly obnoxious piece by Jennifer Rubin, arguing that Obama has seen no convention bounce- that he's been Palinized.  The problem with this assertion is that it is demonstrably false and requires that we believe CNN's Sunday poll, which showed Obama leading by 1 point, and no others.  Gallup currently has Obama up 6 points and had him down 1 point entering the convention.  Rassmussen, which consistently polls Obama lower than Gallup, shows him up 3 points and had him down 2 points entering the convention.  Two more weekly polls posting today show Obama up 7 and 8 points respectively.  So by all accounts except one Obama is enjoying a healthy post-convention bounce.  I have seen no numerical evidence that Palin is helping McCain except in terms of campaign contributions.
The fact that this is a competitive race is manifest on the electoral maps- we have got to take Colorado to prevent another Ohio/Florida showdown- but to deny something readily apparent is to once again shortchange the Senator from Illinois.
