Palin Affairs: With Whom, When, What?
There are indications of possibly 2 affairs.1." My sources in Alaska say the incident occurred in mid 1990s, right around the time she became mayor of Wasilla. Todd Palin's partner in a Polaris snowmachine dealership in Wasilla, Brad Hanson, and Sarah were reportedly flirtatious but never consummated the relationship.
When Todd found out, he reportedly dissolved the partnership and sold the dealership. Hampton is now a member of the Palmer City Council. He was married at the time of the reported flirtation. " I cannot find where on the web I found this statement right now...2. Andrew Sullivan reports that another ex-business partner of Palin's husband tried and failed today to get an Alaska court to seal his divorce papers. No indication yet of what he was trying to hide. His name is Scott Alan Richter and this divorce apparently occurred quite recently.http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2008/09/those-papers.html
3. A few days ago Republican operative Steve Schmidt made a seemingly bizarre statement that there shouldn't be any reason for any paternity testing re Palin. At the time it wasn't clear if he was referring to Sarah's child or her daughter's fetus.

Person #1 and person #2 you mention are one in the same. The ex-business partner who filed to get his divorce papers sealed was person from the snowmobile business.
Don't know if there's anything of substance here or if this is just more scrubbing of anything that might remotely resemble a paper trail of Sarah Palin's past in Alaska. Oft times, the attempted scrubbing is and of itself a lot worse than what's actually being scrubbed as it leaves the impression that something terrible is being covered up.
The appearance of cover-up may be just as damaging to her as anything that might be actually discovered otherwise.

Keep up the good work for the McCain/Palin campaign. This kind of gossip plays in to their campaign's hands.
Besides, so what if she had an affair. So did her running mate, and it doesn't seem to be much of an issue with folks.
