Palin: now paternity test comment makes sense!

Steve Schmidt a few days ago said something objecting to paternity testing. He may have been anticipating that reports of Palin having an affair were likely to come out. Otherwise it made no sense. They may have figured that if the Enquirer found out about her daughter's pregnancy and the family disputes about it that they were going to hear about the rumors of her having an affair. So it may have been an odd, preemptive effort to object to suggestions of paternity testing before they occurred. If it's true that Todd Palin's former business partner has made an emergency request to seal his divorce records, that would add a lot of credibility to the charges, since he's Sarah Palin's alleged partner in passion....

I also think she conned and snookered McCain completely. Maybe seduced him somewhat. How else to explain his unbelievably inept choice and process.

I can't wait for the "former business partner's ex-wife" interview! Maybe the Inquirer will pay her what she really deserves since someone ruined her marriage.

The request to seal the divorce records was made a couple of days ago... The courts denied it.

Also... The squeaky clean Hockey Mom's purported lover?

A local Palmer politician and...
A Hockey Coach

You just can't make stuff like this up!

Speaking as a Canadian ... the hockey coach bit is not that weird. The further north you go, the more everyone is involved in hockey. Especially in small towns.

I am a transplanted Montrealer... I know what you are talking about BUT this is comedy gold. The Daily Show writers could take the night off and Stewart could literally just read the factual stories on Palin for a half an hour.

It is a combination soap opera/trashy novel that is just too funny to make up.

Heh heh, we Canucks are everywhere ... walking among us, undetected ...

I don't know what all that stuff about DNA testing was. Seems more probable that they brought it up because they knew it would exonerate Palin and thus insulate her from further personal attacks.

From what I'm reading, perhaps the real reason to seal those divorce records was MUCH MORE COMPLICATED. Seems like the Palins and the Richters have been close friends for a long time, owning property together and running businesses together. The Richters marriage fell apart. At some point the ex-Mrs. Richter began to date a guy by the name of Bitney who had (confusingly enough) been working for Governor Palin. For reasons that are not yet clear, this really upset The First Dude, so they got Bitney fired (what is with this fuckupta family and their vendettas and getting folks fired). Anyway, I think those are some of the issues in the divorce that they were seeking to hide because it confirms that, once again, the Palins are big believers in using political power and the abuse of that power to pursue their personal agendas.
